What's the name of that EridanEquius AU? If there's any writing on it I want to read it :D
we dont really have a name for this AU. lets say, it is more like a roleplay we do. we mostly refere to it as the “captain-stuck”, because Eridan is the mighty captain of his own warship, and equius becomes his engineer on the ship.
the backgroundstory behind my latest update is this:
since we ship equidan, they are matesprits after equius became the engineer and after they get to known each other. ever since then they stayed matesprits. but as they live a dangerous life on the warship and as equius will not live as long as eridan anyway (due to his lowerblood), eridan demands him to build this soulbot. once equius dies, he will live further in this robot body.
the thing is, that after his death, equius is not quite full of life anymore and he doesnt enjoy being alive anymore, but he stays alive for his dear matesprit, who is kind of obessive about him - as we all know, eridan cannot let go easily. he hangs onto the little straw of last hope, which - in this case - is equius.
eridan though does not even notice equius being a little unhappy about his life since he is quite an egoistic character sometimes, he just sees what he wants to see, and so he continues clinging onto his metallic matesprit like if he was the real one, and he doesnt mind a thing about it after a while
